Back in the early 1900s, the circus was a time when families could escape from reality, take some time off their stress filled lives and spend time simply be entertained. Relive the joy that the circus brought to people’s lives a century ago as you watch circus displays by the Dublin Circus Project on the grassy areas near the caretaker’s house. Look up to see the Barren Carrousel Aerial Circus Troupe in action. Get involved in circus workshops on offer throughout the day teaching the art of juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, hula- hooping – and much more.
