“Brave and young Sean Heuston, who died for truth and right” / Con Colbert – The Man & The Myths

13:30 - 15:00

We are sorry, this event is sold out!

Four Courts, Court 4

Introduced by Paul Reynolds, Crime Correspondent, RTÉ

“Brave and young Sean Heuston, who died for truth and right”.

Dubliner Sean Heuston was one of the youngest of those executed after the Rising. Heavily involved in Na Fianna Eireann, he led the occupation of the Mendicity Institution on Usher’s Island and in doing so inadvertantly became one of the youthful faces of the Irish Revolution

Con Colbert – The Man & The Myths

Colbert’s favourite saying was “For my God and my country”. Was there more to him than Catholicism and Nationalism?
