Barnardo Square beside City Hall, Dame Street
Step back into history with our unique walking tours with live dramatisations along the route. Join our guides as they retrace the events of Easter Week 1916, and bring to life the stories of a city in rebellion.
A range of tours will be on offer during the day. Walks along four different routes will begin at the new square next to City Hall, beside the gates of Dublin Castle, where the first shots of the Rising were fired. Leaving every 15 minutes these tours will lead to the GPO, Royal College of Surgeons, The Four Courts and Liberty Hall, explaining the key battles, and recounting the stories of rebels, soldiers and civilians along the way.
Tour Times: Tours start at 11am sharp and will leave every 15minutes until the final tour at 4pm.
Route: Barnardo Square to GPO / Barnardo Square to RCSI / Barnardo Square to Four Courts / Barnardo Square to Liberty Hall
Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour. Tours will operate on a fist come first served basis.
